Meet the Team

Meet the team that will help you see the world.

Laura Jones

Sales Consultant

I have worked for an international airline as cabin crew, flying around the world for four years. I have been lucky to travel to many destinations throughout North America, Africa, Asia and some which I would never have thought I'd visit. My passion for travelling doesn't stop there - I love to fill my free time exploring the UK and always create my own interesting holidays: from making my way down the east coast of Australia and backpacking in Thailand to my most recent off-the-beaten-track trip to Sri Lanka, to name a few.

Once you get a taste for travelling, indulging in new cultures, sights and experiences you won't be able to stop. It's an addictive business! It is now time for me to plant my feet on the ground (for the most part, anyway) and get to know you and your wishes in order to send you flying around the world on your own perfect holiday.

Feel free to contact me for a chat or pop in to the office for a cup of tea so we can create the perfect trip and make those all-important memories of your own.

Work related questions

  1. When did you start working in the travel industry? I joined British Airways as cabin crew in 2014

  2. Why did you start working in travel / what brought you to the industry? Like most, I loved going on holidays, travelling and exploring new countries. I used to work in a letting agents and whilst adding a potential tenants occupation in to the system, I saw that she was cabin crew. In that moment I thought ‘wow, Id love to do that’. I went home that evening and applied! – and that was the start! I flew for four years and have visited so many places all over the world. I then decided it was time for me to enjoy a little more routine and time with loved ones as well as keeping within travel, so I joined C The World and now I send lovely people all over the world.

  3. What’s your favourite aspect of your job? I really enjoy the interaction with our clients, we take the time to get to know you and your requirements. I enjoy the challenge of finding the perfect itinerary/holiday and having the time to research. No enquiry is the same which makes our job very varied and interesting, we also learn new things everyday too. We are a friendly bunch and where we may not have travelled or been, a colleague most likely has, so we work really well as a team. It’s very rewarding when customers return from their holidays and they share their experiences and thank you for having the best time.

  4. What’s the best holiday you’ve created for a customer? Each holiday is unique so it’s hard to choose a ‘best’, many I envy and add to my own bucket list…. To name a few of the longer itineraries I have most recently put together: A family sabbatical for the West coast of America, Australia, Canada. An itinerary around New Zealand, a self-drive in South Africa with Safari.

  5. What’s quality (or qualities) are most valuable in a travel agent? Enjoying what we do and having a passion for travelling, really listening to customers and asking lots of questions to be able to offer the best recommendations, we want to help. Multi-tasking, we are often juggling many different holidays, administration, research and speaking to a wide range of tour operators. Sharing our own travel experiences and knowledge and adapting easily to changes, there are often new properties, different flight routes, entry requirements. Never assume, not everyone’s travel plans are for a holiday. Being a people person, we are a friendly bunch.

  6. Best piece of advice / top travel tip? Don’t always cram too much in! We all want to see and experience as much as we can, however take some time to sit back and take in your surroundings, you will enjoy this more and not feel exhausted.

  2. Top 3 favourite travel destinations? (that you've been to)? Sri Lanka, Australia, Thailand, New York

  3. What are your Top 3 bucket list destinations? New Zealand, Maldives, South America (Machu Picchu)

  6. Favourite place in the UK? I’m very fond of Pembrokeshire, I used to go every year with my family to Tenby. Last year we spent a week driving around the coast of Cornwall, which is very beautiful! I’m from Gloucestershire so of course I love the Cotswolds and the countryside too.
