4 Things You'll Need On Your Next Holiday

Packing a bag to take travelling is an art form. Being able to pack efficiently and for all eventualities takes practice, but there are a number of things you’ll be glad to have with you, regardless of where you’re heading — besides the obvious passport, toothbrush and underwear, that is.

So, here are four other things we recommend taking with you.

International SIM card
You'll want to stay in touch with your friends and family while you're away. However, it's likely that your current phone plan won't serve you well. So, to avoid coming home to a ridiculous phone bill, opt to take an international SIM card with you.

For example, using an international SIM card from WorldSIM will save you up to 95% on international roaming charges, so it's definitely something to consider.

A comfortable pair of shoes
You'll want to thoroughly explore every city or town you visit, and this is likely to require hours of walking. So, to ensure that your feet will be able to take the strain, you'll need to take an especially comfortable pair of shoes. Charles Clinkard stocks flat sandals for men and women that are perfect for this, and they'll be delivered to you for free.

Earplugs
If you want to explore all of the places that you visit as thoroughly as possible, you'll need enough energy to do so. Therefore, to ensure that you can sleep soundly at every hostel and on every flight you take, you'll need a good quality set of earplugs.

A pair of Pluggerz earplugs, which you can pick up from Boots, are ideal as they will block out any background noise that might interrupt your sleep, but will still allow you to hear louder sounds like your morning alarm.

Notebook and pens
This is a great idea for a number of reasons. Firstly, you'll want to keep a note of any important information, such as how much money you've spent, contact details of the people you meet along the way, and details of places that have been recommended to you by other travellers. It’s wise to use a pen and paper for this, rather than your phone, as you never want a dead battery to stand between you and a vital piece of information.

By packing all of these things, you’ll ensure that you can enjoy your holiday fully. You’ll be able to get plenty of sleep, stay in touch with your loved ones, and always have important information to hand. You can thank us later.
